What to Expect

A free dinner with new friends, a thought-provoking film, and the kind of conversation you don’t usually get to have on a Saturday night. That’s it, no lectures, no pressure, no awkward icebreakers.

    Grab a plate, find a seat, and settle in. Sharing food is proven to build instant community and boost everyone’s sense of belonging.

  • Short Film • 10 min
    We’ll watch a video that tackles one big life question each week.

  • Conversation • 35 min
    Break into small groups where every question is welcome and nothing’s off-limits. Small-group discussion consistently ranks as the “best part” of Alpha and keeps people coming back.

    (If you’re in a hurry, you’re free to leave after the video, you’ll still have had dinner on us! But most folks stay because the conversations are that good.)

    Total runtime is about 90 minutes, so you’re headed home by roughly 8:30 PM.

  • Yes, free on‑site parking steps from the entrance, so you won’t be circling the block.

  • We’ve got you covered with complimentary childcare staffed by background‑checked volunteers, so parents can relax and enjoy the evening.

  • Perfect! Alpha is designed for anyone exploring life, faith, or meaning; no prior knowledge required and every viewpoint respected.

  • Not at all. You’re free to just listen; share only if and when you’re comfortable.

  • After the kickoff dinner, the course meets one evening a week for about nine weeks, but you decide each week whether to come back.

  • Whatever’s comfortable. Most people come straight from work or school, think casual jeans and sneakers, not Sunday best.
